By George was our first in person trunk show since December 2019, and it felt so great to be back!  Austin is one of our favorite cities, and we are absolutely in love with our By George family. We are also crazy about our Austin clientele. The Austin woman is extremely intelligent and thoughtful in how she approaches her jewelry choices. We really like to see how Austin clients put our pieces together. The coolness of Austin is never lost on these ladies. They are not afraid of trying new things, but they absolutely know their own style and point of view.  People are definitely embracing more color this season, pairing with bold prints, and bright contrasting colors.

This trip was made especially fun, by having our Aspen friends from Capricho bags, (www.caprichobags.com),  join us at By George to showcase their beautiful luxury travel bags. We definitely made the most of our time on this "business vacation."

We stayed at The San Jose, which feels like a little sanctuary on busy South Congress. Nothing beats a frosé and a bag of their togarashi popcorn by the pool, after a busy day at the trunk show!

Some highlights of the trip include getting a coveted reservation at Aba, and dining outside under their spectacular patio tree. We also loved eating at Plank, after doing some shopping at The Domain.  Caviar, king crab, and oysters were just the beginning of this amazing meal. We never go to Austin without a stop at The Elizabeth Street Cafe. Everything on the menu is so delicious, with flavors we can't find at home.  Fresa's is perfect for outdoor dining, and what we would do to be able to make chicken like they do!

it definitely feels like life is getting back to normal, and it was great to see people safely out and about.  Austin was full of great energy, and we can not wait to go back!
